Describe how gender roles or patriarchy influence your identity?

Prompt Response: Gender roles influence my identity a lot because as a growing young lady a lot of people expect you to know how to cook, sew, clean and much more.

Summary: Gender roles and patriarchy are often normalized because people often assume "oh a man works and the woman stays and cleans and cooks at home." It is very common for people to assume that's how it always works. Men often don't get pushed by their parents to clean and know how to cook as often as women/young ladies do growing up. Which is seen as equality by many people.

Reflection: I often do see these equalities in my every day life. I personally see guys have more freedom than girls do. Meanwhile girls often get pushed by their parents to know how to cook so they get seen as "useful" for their future partner or in life.
